I gave it one more try; this time typing in cricket and putting sport in the preference bar, and guess what? NO RESULTS showed yet again!! Thinking it is something I’ve been doing wrong I re-read the Glooton documentation, finding I’ve followed the instructions to the letter. I’m stumped I think it’s time to call on my fellow NET11er’s on this one.
Cost:Free
Ease of use: It is easy to understand and use, but it doesn’t work! (For me anyway)
Functionality: Everything seems to be there for a meta search engine.
Utility: I’m not sure of it's effectiveness as I couldn’t get it to work properly.
Commonality: I think it may be a common program, but I have only heard of it a couple of times, never using it before.
Overall I wasn’t impressed with Glooton, not only because I couldn't get it to work properly, but it is bland/boring in appearance and it took ages for the searches (with no results) even though I have a reasonably fast broadband connection.
